Wellington Catholic District School Board’s Student Mental Health Services will be hosting a Surviving Parenting in a Pandemic webinar on March 4 at 4:30 p.m. that will discuss how we can strengthen the bond we have with our children during these periods of ongoing stress and uncertainty.
Effective January 25th, the Ministry of Education is requiring that all elementary and secondary staff submit confirmation of COVID-19 self-screening. Today, February 3, the Ministry of Education indicated that all elementary and secondary schools within Wellington Catholic will be welcomed back to in-person learning on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Earlier this week, Wellington-Guelph-Dufferin Public Health extended virtual learning for all elementary and secondary school students from January 25 to 29, inclusive. We anticipate further clarity from the Ministry of Education on an exact timeline for return.
Wellington Catholic has collaborated with UGDSB and CMHA Waterloo-Wellington to put together Wellness Works!, a monthly youth conferences for Grade 9-12+ students. Each month will focus on a theme related to mental health and wellness. High school students who participate can earn community service hours for attending and they have an opportunity to win prizes.
These lessons teach students to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress, understand what stress feels like, implement coping and problem-solving strategies, and foster an increased sense of well-being.

Please complete the Technology Request Form if your child (ren) require the use of a technology device for remote learning. You will need to complete one form for each child requiring technology. Availability is limited and will be prioritized by grade and requirements.
